magic mistake

"Magic Mistake" was one of the most fun projects I worked on during the Graphic Design program.

For our final project in Audio and Video Design, we had to create a documentary. We could choose the tone and theme. My story was just as crazy and fun as it should be: a filmmaker who gets sued by the Magic Union because of one scene in her movie.

It was my first time playing with stop motion, and I have to say…it's really hard and time-consuming. But I'd love to do it all again. Seeing this silly story come to life is such a pleasure.

I really enjoyed every moment, from script and storyboard to footage, sound effects, and post-production in After Effects. It's funny because I'm into two different worlds when it comes to graphic design. I love editorial with all my heart, but at the same time, motion is something I could do forever without getting sick of it. We're humans, right? We live between contradictions :D

The most valuable lesson I got from this class — and, of course, from the amazing Neil VDK — is to have fun. For real.
